The Federation, aside from being an organization that promotes business and trade within and outside the Chinese-Filipino community, has been an advocate for corporate social responsibility for the past five decades.
Operation: Barrio Schools. One of its major socio-civic programs is the operation: Barrio Schools, which involves the donation of two classroom buildings in areas where classrooms are needed. As the Federation's flagship project, Operation: Barrio Schools is the longest running and biggest private-sector-led development program focused on educational infrastructure.
Under the Operation: Barrio Schools, the Federation raises funds to finance the construction of standard 7x14-meter two-room schoolbuildings. These schoolbuildings are constructed out of donations from the officers and members of the federation and from benevolent organizations, families and individuals within the Chinese-Filipino community.
The Federation recently received donation pledges for the construction of 430 more units of schoolbuildings by 2009. This would bring the total number of donated school buildings to more than 4,000 units. The number is still expected to grow as the Federation receives more commitments from donors.
Other School Building Programs. The Federation implements several school building programs in partnership with the government, such as the PGMA Schoolbuilding Project funded by the President's Social Fund; the classrooms Galing sa Mamamayang Pilipino Abroad or CGMA, funded by donations from Filipinos overseas; the Sen. Franklin M. Drilon - FFCCCII School Building Program, funded by Senator Drilon's Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF), and the Sen. Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan - FFCCCII School Building Program, funded by Senator Pangilinan's PDAF, FFCCCII shall also implement a new school building construction program called the DPWH-FFCCCII-Dep-Ed Schoolbuilding Project.

Other Education Projects. Aside from contributing to the development of educational infrastructure in the country, the Federation also seeks to provide educational access to a greater number of people through the FFCCCII Metrobank Foundation Share a Gift of Education (SAGE) and the Special Assistance For Education (SAFE) scholarship programs.
To enhance Chinese language teaching in Philippine Chinese Schools, we continue to bring into the country Chinese language volunteer teachers from China. We also established at the Federation Center the Chinese Language and Cultural Studies of the Philippines.
Medical-Dental Missions. Through our operation; Mobile Clinic, we provide free medical and dental services and free medicines to indigents not only in Metro Manila but in other provinces as well. Since 1980, the Federation and its local chapters have rendered these services with the help of pharmaceutical firms and the volunteer services of physicians, dentists and nurses. FFCCCII recently added a mobile clinic bus that provides free X-ray, ultrasound and ECG services to indigents.
Relief Operations. In times of natural calamities and disasters, the Federation and its chapters are among the first to extend relief assistance. In coordination with local government units, food, clothing, medicines and other immediate needs are delivered to victims at the soonest time.
